I went to home depot and got me the Estman Tomahawk axe and even found a used "wood chopping" axe on craigslist for $10.
I will probably get the SOG FastHawk from Walmart for $20. Can't beat that price, even from Ebay.

i have two sog fasthawks in each backpack i own. Wal-marthas these guys in several different color combos too. $20 for a very nice pack axe is a good deal for sure.
How are they for throwing?

Actually, I wish I could justify a Gransfor Bruks mini hatchet, but they cost more than the full size axes.
