My first car was a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville 2dr HT with a 421 cu in, factory 4 speed, 2 four barrel carburetors and 405 HP.
I bought it in 1968 at an auction for $270 and my brother drove home since I did not have a license yet.
That thing was a tank that would burn rubber like crazy. I'd remember buying used tires often. I'm lucky I didn't get hurt in it.
It was only 4 years old when I bought it and paid less that 10% of what it sold for new. I'd like to do that today.
