What’s the heaviest load?

A week’s worth of groceries and a 12 pack of Bud Light.

I had a 1/2 ton 1985 Dodge ram with a 225/6.

I went to the local asphalt place down the road for a half ton of asphalt but the operator screwed up and dumped a whole ton in my truck and it immediately
Slammed down to the bump
Stops and then some.

I still
Managed to drive it 20 miles to my destination (back roads only.).
Let’s just say I had to get a run for the hills but that little six pulled like a mofo.

For the life of me I can’t understand the new fad of goofballs purposely setting their trucks up to drive like that normally.

I definitely turned an f150 and a Chevy 1500 into low riders in the past. Won’t see me doing that again. No acceleration, handles like crap and you pray you’ll be able to stop. I only use trucks rated for heavier loads these days. I laugh and am terrified at the over loaded rigs I see around town daily. It’s one thing as a homeowner to do it occasionally, seeing people use their vehicles for work like that is plain insanity!!
