Not sure how this hasn't been discussed, but since I have one on the grill.... let's hear 'em.
I don't have a recipe but in general.... start off with chuck (or possibly round) as it's the right mix between too lean and too fatty. Dice onions and mix into meat with whatever seasoning. May or may not add an egg as a binder.
Seasoning may include Tony Chachere's, garlic powder (ok, it ALWAYS includes garlic), worschestshire, soup mix, whatever. Always try and under season a little to let the recipient tailor to his/her desires.
A burger without cheese is morally wrong. <--- fact.
So, again, let's hear 'em.
