I was thinking of somehow customizing (or having customized) the scales. Maybe a laser etched engraving- or can G10 do that? Maybe some cerakote. Something to make it uniquely mine besides dings.

The hell with it. use it and abuse it. The uniqueness will come. My SnG between Tom (previous owner) have given it some awesome love marks. You can try some of the guys on the kershaw sub forum on bladeforums.com if you want some new scales and such. I like it just the way it is though. Cheers.
