There are now 2 episodes on his channel on the challenge. 5 Random people/YouTuber's attempt to hit a 1 MOA target at 1,000 yards and have only 10 shots. I don't think there is a caliber limit, but shooters have used .300WINMAG and .338LM. Setups range from frugal to big spender. Also, if a shooter hits at 1,000 yards, they get 1 shot at the half-MOA target at 1,000 yards. Only 1 person has hit the half MOA target at 1,000 yards. You have to spot your own shots also!! If you hit on cold bore, you get a gold Texas Plinking Challenge Coin. If you hit within 5 shots, you get a silver coin. Within 10 you get bronze. If you were to participate, what rifle in your safe would you attempt the challenge with? Name your setup as in rifle, ammo choice, optic, etc. I would like to try the challenge myself personally.

There is a guy that has been told a 77grn will not stabilize in a 1-9 twist, he said it would, and he has shot heavy 77 out of a few 1-9 twist barrels ........... after getting a lot of you are full of mud (to put it nicely)
He took a RRA 16" 1-9 twist shot 5 rounds at a 24'X24" plate, bullet Hornady 77 grain TMK.
well, he hit the plate 4 out of the five................ has to be true it's on the internet LOL (Practical Accuracy did the video)
SOoooooo can't be all that hard right............(judge for yourself)
Then there is a man called instructor zero that tried this with a 9emem pistol ........... and did it BTW
and Jerry Mekliuk did this also with a nine.............

1000yds, nah not me. I think @ 400yds is as far as I would try. I have shot about that far. I still have the target. Used a Browning A bolt in 308 with a 4x12x40mm Old Redfield Golden Five Star with AO. If I remember correctly shot a 2 1/2" group

I don't have sufficient dope for either at this time, but I'd give them a run with a NF ATACR 5-25×56 perched on top:

Barrett M99 32" 50 BMG
Hornady 750gr A-Max

or

DD MK12 18" 5.56
Black Hills 77gr MK262

Strelok don't fail me now! 🤞

It’s not that hard with the right equipment.

I took 4 Japanese heart surgeons to the 1,000yd range at Elk River Training Center in Pelham TN.

They barely spoke English, but I had an interpreter.

2 had shot a handgun before, but none had ever shot a rifle.

We used 2 of my .308’s; a JP Enterprises LRP-07 18” and a custom rifle built on a Remington 700 action. Nightforce scopes and M118LR.

In less than 5 hours, I got all them ringing steel every 100 yards from 100 out to 1,000yds. The 1,000yd target was approximately 2MOA.
