There's nothing "pretty clear" about that, considering the topic being discussed in this thread. It's is not illegal to possess an NFA weapon in Georgia if you have it registered with the feds. Georgia has not made it a crime to possess it without carrying with you proof of your federal NFA registration.
However, your registration or lack thereof is not something the cops need to determine before they arrest you. They can arrest you --although you have committed no crime -- simply because the cops don't know that you haven't committed a crime, and they suspect that you have because you didn't show your registration form.
