Does anyone think that some engineered strain of rabies would make it possible for people to exhibit the typical blood thirsty zombie behavior?

Wife and I was talkin zombies the other day, I was shooting them off the back porch as they emerged from the woods, and her input was " as close as we are to plant hatch, we will be the zombies" real buzzkill , she is no fun!
its about as likely as someone creating vampires

And aliens I think we will see them too just saying.
