Soviets preparing for WWIII?

Beware the objectivity of any media source that consistently refers to the subject government as "the Chinese Regime". They don't have any more of an ASAT capability than we or the Russians have. We are just whining about the new kid on the block's new toys (to get Uncle Sugar will buy some new ones).

Another nit- Assuming that the PLA (Chinese Army) is "low-tech" is obsolete. The Chinese first line troops are equipped at least as good as Russian forces, and rapidly becoming on par with NATO (thanks to lots of dollars from exports and importing lots of high-tech industrial know how).

I know i know. its infowars. but look at the hardware....

“It means for the first time we have the objective of creating an operational capability to airlift a full-fledged army to any desired place on the planet,” the source said. This means delivering a task force the size of the former NATO and the US troops in Iraq, in a matter of hours to any continent. “In the context of the current military doctrine that defies comprehension,” the source said.

Those planes will never be built.

One simple reason-MONEY.

Each one would have to cost at least 100 billion. Who the hell has the coin for that kind of jibba jabba?
