Nice!! Gotta have those cam chain tensioners upgraded or have it geared with S&S gears. Nothing else wrong with the early T/C’s. Rebel Customs and Woods Performance (both in Cartersville) are go to’s around here and USA Wholesale in Calhoun is awesome. 1999-2006 had junk plastic cam chain tensioners (something to consider before buying…. between $600-$1000 to have it remedied).
The problem with the early T/C cam tensioners were legendary and accounted for many a failed engine. My indy mechanic brought up a lesser known problem. The early T/C's had cams built by a third party to Harleys specs. Problem was the "hardened" surface did not hold up on some of them. Once it wears to the "soft metal" it's a ticking time bomb. Harley changed suppliers a few years later and that was the end of that issue. Could see the wear on my sons Dyna cams where soft metal was "peeking" through.
