Skillet Burgers

I enjoy a burger cooked on the grill, but there is something about 1 cooked in a cast iron skillet. I slice sweet onions and put them under 1 side of the meat while it cooks. The other side gets a crunchy crust on it.

Maybe it's because my grandmother cooked them this way.

63 years old and my mom cooked them that way all the time when I was growing up. I like to add gravy and mushrooms with the onions.

Put the bun on top and steam it, melt some cheddar on top of the meat and dress with hot slaw.
(Cole slaw, mustard, hot sauce, chopped onion)

We have tried and love "Bleu Cheese Bacon Burgers" cooked in cast iron. Wife buys bleu Cheese crumbles and mixes it with crispy bacon into the meat and frys away.
Fantastic!!!

We have them that way a couple times a month. It's easier than prepping the grill
