Seeking help with stuck scope mount screw

Thanks yall, my uncle is a machinist, I'm gonna give him a call later this morning and see if he can get it out. For those mentioning quality pliers I was using Cornwell pliers. The 30 years of carbon build up, rust, and loctite just have it stuck, won't loosen or tighten.

Did you gently tap on it with a brass hammer? this sometimes will break the crud up and free it up.

Pliers ain’t the right tool. You need vise grips

Grip it top down then use a big crescent wrench to turn the vice grips. Counterclockwise. After a week or two of a penetrating oil bath.

To do this correctly you need to remove the action and Barrel from the stock and clamp the barrel down it a pair of soft jaws in your vice. Then follow the directions I laid out.

Talked to my uncle, he said swing by his shop and after work and he should be able to get it off no problem. Hope to have a positive update this evening.

Drilled out, ran a tap down the threads to clean it and good to go!
