I know nothing about AK's except I decided I want one. Whats the difference in the various ones like AK vs AKM?

Make sure to buy an import or a psa for the forged trunion. The trunion is the piece that contains the explosion and keeps the gun spaced properly. You want it forged

Dont waste your money on pattern collecting. The magazines and all accessories are very expensive. While of good quality The commercial stuff has no provedance

I guess they’re ok for slinging lots of lead and being reliable. Get an arsenal for about $1800. Be patient and you’ll find one on here. I’ve owned many and definitely like the AR platform better for many reasons. I’ve had the high dollar Chinese older ones, I’ve had original Gallis and everything in between and still not a big fan. They don’t shoot as smooth as an AR either, but you probably know all this. They do get an A+ for cool factor!!

they will always shoot...always
they will never shoot straight...never
when trying to hit a target it is always best to shoot in the other direction... I.E. target to the north,aim south..



poly's are great.. just look at it close. many Ak's have the barrels riveted in crooked. try not to buy one sight unseen. you want be sorry,they are a lot of fun...
