I bought a Ruger Single Seven in .327 Federal Magnum a few weeks ago. I have to say I have been more than happy with this firearm. It is a Single six frame but hold 7 rounds of .327 Fed Mag. The firearm will also shoot 32 H&R, 32 S&W Long, and 32 S&W. I have found that the 32 H&R's are the most pleasant to shoot as they are mild in recoil. The 327's are a little hard to handle on such a small frame gun. The felt recoil and muzzle blast is like that of a 357 magnum out of a Blackhawk with same barrel length (4 5/8). Accuracy wise the 32 S&W and S&W Longs are hit and miss. I had best accuracy with Federal Ameeican Eagle 327's and Federal Champion 32 H&R's. Not sure if gun is good selection for personal defense but is a fantastic little range gun and woods gun. I would highly recommend it.
