Got to shoot this model 6" barreled stainless steel .357 magnum revolver yesterday. I myself own a S&W 66 in 6" also, and a friend brought this Taurus Tracker for us to use.
It was lighter than I expected for its size.
I don't know why, and I can't explain it.
It holds 7 rounds, not 6 like I'm used to.
The gun shot good groups in both single action and double action shooting. The trigger pull was not as light or smooth as my S&W has, but it was OK, good enough.
We did not shoot magnums out of it. I wanted to, but my shooting companions did not, not even the gun's owner. So I only used .38 specials. Both Blazer Brass and Wolf steel-cased ammo, bullets weighing 130 grains.
I like it, and think my brother should get one like this as a home defense handgun, replacing a 6-shot, 4" bbl. revolver in .38 spl.
