I like the "presentation" of that for a gun room, but a bit too complicated in a time of need.
A couple $2 wall hanger hooks work just the same, high up out of reach of small hands, and you can still retain the mag.

Just for display purposes. I have a 357 mag ready to rock and roll and and a FN Police Tactical Shotgun loaded for bear right beside the bed. I figure after spending 1200 bucks on a new build what better way to enjoy it than hanging it out where I can admire it for a while. I can change them out when I want. If kids come over I have to secure all my ready weapons any way. Why not put one up on it for the little ones to look at. Nothing like an AR-15 to peak a lads interest. Talk his dad into letting me build one for him. " You got to co- ordinate ". I just think it a great idea especially if you have a large walk in vault to display your favorites nas well. The title is just a catch phrase my brother.

Couple different schools of thought on this.
I prefer gun available with loaded mag inserted. One less thing to fumble in a time of stress.
