This pistol introduced me to the model 51 which I now have. I was very interested in the R51 a few years back, may have to round one up now.

my p7 replaced my r51 back in 1980,like stated the r51 to me had similar pointability as the p7.
the 9mm won out over the 32acp.
i wish i hadn't traded the 51.

You must mean the M51 as the R51 was just released (well....re-released from a 2014 failure). I too had a M51 that I no longer have and miss. Mine was a .380. My ex-wife reported it stolen during our legal separation. My guess is that she still has it.

yes m51,i wanted a 380 back and in all reality back then i wanted it in 9mm luger.
i used the m51 as trade on a brand new p7

Just got my holster for my R51 in from MultiHolsters. It's a comfortable little kydex IWB. Paid an additional $5 for the Coyote Brown Kydex, I like it.

The R51 is now a part of my carry rotation.
