Remington R51 Review

Excellent timing.....I just picked one up myself. My first pistol was a M51 .380 and it was a great shooter. Sadly it was stolen from me in 1990 in Charlotte, NC.

Got mine all cleaned and coated with Militec1 and ready for it's first outing tomorrow.

R51's are an entirely different animal than the Browning and Walther based systems.
its a single bow, to the rear, single stage trigger.

at some point a sear surface will catch upon release of the trigger. causing reset. maybe what you mean is that there is zero take up?

No. The trigger must be let out at least 2/3 of total travel length with no audible or tactile reset.

As I understand the design, there is an internal hammer and it is a single action trigger. It's similar in feel to a double action revolver although lighter (around 5.5 pounds) and shorter.

No. It is a single action. I do not feel anything resembling a DA revolver.
It is crisp, with little to no perceptible take up.
Is it a 1911 trigger? No, but it is WAY better than a Glock or M&P, imo

this is most accurate.....I put a quick 4 mags through mine at lunch today and reset was amazingly short.
