Reloading questions???

I have had a Lyman, lee, rcbs and now have hornady single and progressive. They all have been good. Ended up with hornady when they came out with the quick change feature for the dies.

loaded thousands of 223 on my 550. I tend to prep all my brass outside of the 550 and use it only for assembly of 223

it will run pistol brass fine using carbide dies

I do not tumble brass that have the primer removed because of the possible clogging of the primer hole. never worry too much about cleaning the primer pocket on mass assembled rounds.. never worry too much about it on anything really

I prep my 223 military brass myself these days after getting the dillion electric trimmer

pain to swag the primer pocket but you only do it once...

not sure it's worth it though as you can still get them prepped for around $25 plus shipping

as folks have noted , you can always use a single stage.. I still use my 40 year rock chucker for all my hunting rounds

can't wear it out

never cared for any of the aluminum Lee loaders myself but the cast iron single stage should be just fine

Their dies are excellent and a heck of a deal these days
