Reloading for Glocks.....

I was taught to stay away from any load that deforms the brass. If it comes out with a "Buddha" bulge then your loads are too hot. All it takes is one split or thin walled case over the top of your magazine (thought about saying clip, but that's another thread) and bad things can happen. If you're at all concerned about the load; chamber one round, remove the magazine and pull the trigger. Gives the pressure a place to go in case of an accident.
 
I reload lead 9 millimeter for my 19 as I cast all of my own bullets. After every range I take a chore boy brass scrub pad and wrap it around my bore brush with some solvent and get all of the extra lead out of my barrel. I use lead ammo for practice and different types of training scenarios.
 
Try the chore boy without the solvent.

I find it works better. Bill Wilson teaches this in one of his 1911 maintenance videos.
