Real trouble may be closer than we think....

Recently, we had the N.C. governor calling for suspension of congressional elections for two years to "straighten out the country's economy" "without having to worry about reelection consequences". She later said she was joking.

We've got the "Occupy Wall Street" people who are socialists at best getting positive coverage for wanting to destroy capitalism and redistribute wealth.
Now, Jesse Jr. is going so far as to suggest the federal government give "all 15 million unemployed $40k per year government jobs; bail out all the states; bail out all the cities".

We've got the president himself saying that he's going to around congress to distribute money for his "jobs bill".

This is not a political rant, although I could go on a bender. My point here is that we have a huge amount of civil unrest just simmering...I mean really, really take a look around.

Even an uneducated man can look up at the sky and see that dark menacing clouds on the horizon means that a storm is coming.

Prepare as well as you can possibly afford to prepare. If that means 200rds of ammo and 100lbs of rice, then guess what? You're 200rds and 100lbs of rice ahead of what you would have been.

Uh oh, ole' Billrube thinks the sky is falling, some of you may think.
Consider this:
These people that I listed in the top of the post were elected BY VOTERS IN THEIR STATES. That, friends and neighbors is some notable and scary s**t.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

but, other than all that, everythings great! lol

I have said this before and will say it again......there are a lot of stupid and/or naive people out there and it is how they respond (at the direction of their leadership) that concerns me!

It was Winston Churchill who said "He who fails to plan is planning to fail" during World War II.
I try to look at things/situations with open eyes and an open mind. History is a good teacher and things do look bleak at times. Frustrations are high and it only takes a small mistake before over reaction occurs. Calm people will prevail.
