Question for the serious crappie fisherman out there!

I am fairly new to serious crappie fishing. I have always been a minnow dipper in the spring and that’s about it. For some reason, this year the bug really got me. I’ve been going 3/4 days a week to Jackson since it’s close to home. I bought a Garmin Livescope and that was a game changer! Been putting up some good numbers at Jackson, the large majority are what I consider to be too small. Made a trip to West Point last Saturday and put 58 in the boat, much better quality fish. I took 14 filleting sizes ones home. I was planning on going back to West Point Saturday, but have thought about Oconee. I know many consider it the best crappie lake in the state. What are you other guys thoughts? I know it has a lot of docks and a lot of timber. I’m a dock shooter and caster, I don’t do any trolling, it doesn’t seem like my style, but I may give it a try sometime. West Point or Oconee? Which is the better crappie lake in y’all’s opinion? I know it’s not a crappie... it was fun on crappie gear though!

Oconee is a better crappie lake than west point if you learn it. You can catch a mess on west point but not as good quality as oconee. Sinclair has.consistent 1 3/4 lb fish as well
I used to consistently catch 2lb + crappie on jackson shooting docks and trolling creeks, Those are few and very far between now.

I appreciate the input Cutbait. I’m wondering if with all the houses, and pleasure boaters should I wait and hit Oconee on a weekday. I was surprised by how few cruisers I saw at West Point. Those damn wake boats are the spawn of Satan! I’m indecisive! I’m going somewhere, Lord willing!

Im usually on the lake at my first spot at first light. Done by 10:30 . Usually with a limit and pleausre boaters aint even had breakfast yet
