this..military (not just US) wouldn't be using them this long if it wasn't a good system..and I've never cleaned any of my gas tubes..considered it but figured "ya know, I'll just run some good powerful 5.56 loads thru there and I'm sure it'll be ok"...it's been ok

7,374 rounds and counting. The only thing I have done is squirt clp on the bolt and star chamber. Filthy but runs like a clock

Impossible. It's not an AK. Everybody knows an AR is only good for 100 rounds before you have to tear it down and clean everything
