But everyday convicted felons commit robbery, rape, and murder with guns. If someone wants a gun they will steal it, buy it blackmarket, or get their girlfriend to buy it.
If someone commits a crime and eight people witness it and three cameras capture it when they catch the guy the government says this person is innocent until proven gulity. But if a law-abiding person goes to buy a gun the government assumes they are gulity.
If a felon can't be trusted outside prison keep him locked away or hang 'em high.
It was kinda a rhetorical question, but you are correct .......change the law.
Thanks for the info everyone....who knows maybe I will be a handgun owner in a few more days. I will take the advice and go ahead and apply for a ccw assuming all goes well this week.

Actually it is 5 now. Or at least that is the date I was given. I was there on the 15th and if nothing comes before then I can just go and pick up on the 22nd.
3 business days, weekends don't count. I sell part time and do this every few days.

My brother in an LEO and every time he has to go through a background check, it gets delayed.
