Nice car. Buy a kit and read the directions. They are not as hard as you may think. Get a gallon can of carburetor clean and soak it. (I think they still sell it) Give it a try and you may enjoy it.

The Rents bought a brand new 1964 Galaxie 500, and it was da' bomb.
Straight 6, about 85 HP, 3 on the tree, and a state of the art AM radio.
The best thing I can say about it is that it had those ever so cool bench seats, which may have not been stylish, but had certain valuable attributes when I got old enough to drive and date.

I've been told that these people are vintage car/carburetor specialists.

Don't know, had a vehicle with a carb issue, and my mechanic doesn't do them, and recommended this shop. Got rid of the vehicle before I needed to verify. But I have a lot of confidence in my shop so there's that.
