The 5R I had shined with most everything it was fed. H4895 and Varget are two powders that I always have on hand for the .308.
The 155 grain Palma bullets were every bit the equal of the heavier bullets at the distances I shot.(300 yds & in)
I'm a fan of Winchester primers. They've delivered outstanding consistency.

I shoot R5 and a 700 vs with a 24 inch barrel, both shoot Varget , with Fed match grade primers, the R5 i shoot VLDs in,,, the 700 i shoot 175 SMKs,, both will shoot inside a quarter @ 100 yards 2 of the finest rifles i ever owned. both are 308 win.
