Need recommendations for bank fishing in Henry County.....

Looking for a fairly clean/safe location to take my boys out and teach them to fish. I'm mostly interested in catch and release, not trying to stock the freezer. Preferably close enough to get in and back to the house within a few hours so the wife doesn't get her panties all knotted up.

I've done a google search and the reservoirs look nice, but are the $45 permits worth it?

I don't mind a pay pond if they are reasonably priced and well stocked.

J.W. Smith Reservoir / Clayton County- I caught my largest bass from the bank at this reservoir.
Great fishing and plenty of reachable bank to walk around.

Didn't think to check for Clayco's Reservoirs, thanks. I will definitely be fishing this one soon.

grew up down there fishing most my life...nothing really in Henry County...High Falls, the Ocmulgee below Lloyd Shoals Dam(jackson), and Indian Springs is where I always went...
