That repair is easier said than done, have to pop the one above it loose and hope you don't mess it up,dealing with that stuff right now

Are you selling the house? I don't understand who would care except a new buyer.
very easy to repair if you have the right tools
Fill it in with cement caulk and trim out small section , take that to lowes match up best you can
Cut that section out and replace with new
I would use cement to bond back
Then lay small amount putty and sand then wait hours then light paint to normal
Will look like new
Then fill in the bottom and route your gutter away from home

whats all this fill it up nonsense do a job right or dont do it at all . Any inspector worth his salt can spot a patch job
Well if it isn't matched up with the existing pattern it will also be a patch job.
If it is that recalled siding then an inspector should catch that also.
If it is a home inspection for sales purposes then I would just sell it as is and provide some sort of discount to the buyer.

I might try this tomorrow. I'll cut out a section of that board and cut the cement panel I have and use that.
I fixed it. I think it looks good.
