We use our Instapot mainly for rice but have used for many other foods as well.
For rice, I take 2 cups white rice and saute with butter or olive oil with my preferred seasonings, for about 10 minutes, just until it atarts to get golden brown. Add 3 cups of liquid, I prefer chicken broth. Set on high pressure cook for 8 minutes. Once time is up, rapid release the pressure or let natural release. Remove lid and fluff with a fork. Perfectly cooked rice!

Also does a "boiled" potatoes really nice, comes out fluffy. Cube the potatoes, add to the pot with the trivet or a steamer basket. Add about a cup of water, set to high pressure for 10 minutes. Cooked perfectly.
