I'm a fan of direct thread....whoever came up with the term "quick detach" is either a marketing genius or a blooming idiot. After the can warms up, there's nothing "quick" about detaching anything. For me, the security and assuring sense of "concentric-ness" I get with a direct thread can is worth the. 423 extra seconds it takes me to thread it on.....but over against anything AAC, I'd take the SWR MAAD in a heart beat.
