Appreciate the input on this all. I’ll have to check out RiverBend here when they have an open day.

I’ve been shooting for a while but my wife and I will not be in Georgia forever with my work. That’s my only hesitation. 900$ for a lifetime initiation isn’t bad, but if we move in 2 years it’s foolish.

If you ever move back it’ll be $50 for each year missed plus dues for the year.
They call it “Reinstating”, lots of guys have to move for work, sometimes for years at a time, so they made it easy to get back in. No initiation fee when reinstating....

It is a nice place. As far as the pistol goes...don’t you need an NRA classification? That was a rule when I visited a couple years ago. I don’t know if things have changed.

If you want to use the Kongsberg target system you'll need to get your card punched by demonstrating to an RSO (there) that you are capable of shooting the handgun accurately enough that you won't destroy the frames. That's where the wires/sensors are located. It wasn't overly difficult for me but I shoot a lot of handgun.
