LISTENING TO A WHIP OR WILL

Also this reminds me of times as a kid camping out in a tent on the river with my family on all nite fishing trips.. couldn’t afford to satay in a motel but a tent was just awesome.. camp fire , Beenie weenie’s, hot dogs on a stick with loaf bread for a bun... never had a worry back then but I’m sure my mom did.. but I grew up to be a good man.. at least I think so anyways
Most certainly did in my book!! She did a fine job!!!

Just some useless info......one evening when my daughter<-(bird fanatic) & family were visiting us, we were sittin on the back porch when the "whiporwills" started up and I said listen to them whiporwills. We all got quiet a minute and she said, " those aren't whiporwills they're Chuck-Wills-widow" often mistaken for whiporwills.
I didn't argue cause most of the time she's right and I'm wrong. I still call em whiporwills though. SHHH don't tell her
