Gotta get in on this one. Just picked up this Henry Big Boy today! 10 rounds of 44. mag. should be enough, don't you think? Sorry about the pics. They don't do it justice.
Scopes look great on the scout rail marlins.
And yes, I did bust some birds with it

Every single time.
To be fair, it did require some tinkering but it's running just fine now. My shoulder couldn't take more than one round with it though....I had to shoot 20ga the next day because my shoulder was tender. That thing kicks like a mule.

Same boat, man.....this one popped up as a trade item for something I had listed a while back, just out of the blue and wasn't even listed on my interests. I gave away more gun than I got, but I wanted it. Imagine the looks I got when I went under the high house with this thing
But seriously, it kicks stupid hard. No recoil pad, light, and 18" barrel = shoulder sore after twenty shells.
Just picked up a 1966 model marlin .444 with Monte Carlo stock, gold trigger, pre safe.
The wood is incredible as far as grain but Imm gonna parkerize the metal and refinish the wood.
I'm thinking a scout rail and shortening the barrel.......picks soon.
