Llama porn…lol

Ok. This post seems to have hit a wall. Here’s mine…this one has been to hell and back. I’ve owned it for MANY years, and did a little to it every now and then… I finally decided to finish it on up…..I just recently talked Para13ellum into painting it for me, since I had just finished the grips. I put a LOT of work into this pig, NOTHING was just drop in, all had to be fitted…

Yes, his nick name was “Cloudy Daze” from HS. Never really grew up, I always said I was going to paste his face on a Peter Pan poster. LOL

I don’t understand the appeal of the llama. I have always heard that they were trash. You could get a star for the same price or less and they were better quality. Some of them look nice, but I need any gun I have to be reliable.

So you can appreciate the finer things like a 25" Zenith floor model genuine wood veneer TV. Or a a 73 Cougar with white walls and 8 track stereo.

I don’t understand the appeal of the llama. I have always heard that they were trash. You could get a star for the same price or less and they were better quality. Some of them look nice, but I need any gun I have to be reliable.

Mine sat in my safe for years while I was learning the intricacies of the 1911 platform, then I decided to try to turn it into a reliable pistol. This pretty much meant EVERYTHING needed to be modernized. So, I did it a little at a time. As I said, nothing fit…EVERYTHING had to me modified, if only a little. These old guys were not G.I. Spec… I took it out for a ride Saturday, and of all things, the safety detent spring was soft, allowing the thumb safety to bounce on, on each shot. Simply riding my thumb on it allowed a good run of 50 without another hiccup. I replaced the spring yesterday, and will take her out for another ride soon.
NOW, back to the appeal of the Llama….the only thing I ever liked about them was the finish….They were DEEP polished blue,(mine wasn’t) with excellent external fit…in a world of pistols being painted, or polycoated, these old turds at least looked great…wait, second, I liked the way the frame rolled forward at the base of the grip…apparently Caspian did too…
