I think a threaded-muzzle, side-loading-port, lever action rifle in .44 mag/ .44 special or .45 long Colt would be awesome for suppressed hunting with extra heavy bullets. But the barrel twist rate would need to be fast to stabilize the very long bullets that I'd want in the 300-400 grain weight range. There are plenty of .30 caliber loads that will sling a 220 grain bullet at Mach 0.9. I want to do it with a bullet that weighs a LOT more, to get more kinetic energy on target. Without a loss of accuracy in the heavy loads. Yet I'd want it to shoot supersonic ammo in the normal 200-240 grain weight range with good accuracy, too.
