Item Gone: Deal of the Day

What if once Item is marked gone, Deal of the Day moved on to the next Deal?
additionally, perhaps an archive?
perhaps a way to search or sort by "good deal"

Any way to make the DOTD switch to the next item if it has been marked as gone?

When a DOTD item is marked as gone, it would be nice if it kicked that item out as DOTD and moved to the next one in line.
Is that doable???
