for real though,just use a floor jack under the
strut enough to take the weight off and then
punch out them bolts with a screwdriver and
a hammer.

This is what I started to try, lets see what happens

Why easy out it?? You've got two good flats to get it turning which is all the easy out is gonna do for you. Hammer and punch and you're done.

Turn the steering wheel so the broken portion is facing outwards then using a punch or screwdriver hit it with a hammer. Other than rust, there is nothing holding it in there.

With the proper tool?

Otherwise it's gonna take your arm off when it comes loose

Spray liberally with PB blaster to help loosen up any junk holding them on. Use an adjustable crescent wrench to twist the bolts back and forth to see if they will move. Follow the other recommendations given here in regards to turning the wheel to the left and jacking up the bottom of the strut. If the spring is not compressed or already out, you will be fighting the spring pressure. Good Luck!

Thats a coil over. The spring is contained. Just relax the lower control arm and it swings out. After you remove the broke bolts...
