The citrus in the lime juice also helps to keep the guac from browning while sitting uncovered. I run mine light on the cilantro and after trying a few different recipes, taco bell mild sauce really changes things up. I know people that can't stand guac and will request mine every time.

DON'T EVER BUY PREMADE GUAC!!!!!!! It's too simple to make your own. Hell, just some avocado's and taco seasoning packets can suffice in a pinch and be 100000x better than any store bought stuff.

Yep... lime is to prevent the browning.... I prefer to not use the lime... If you store the guac in a bowl and press plastic wrap over the top, squeeze out the air bubbles... it will prevent browning for a few days... and you will not get the lime flavor....
