Good rum that doesn't break the bank ?

I like Pyrat rum. It's not top shelf but it suits me. A bottle usually last me a year-ish and I just finished it off a few days ago. Go down to Lutherville to pick up another bottle and they don't carry it anymore. I grabbed Capt Morgan on the advice of a friend. It sucks. I tried Kracken spiced rum, it sucks even more than Capt Morgan.
I hate these weak chick rums that have nothing other than a "fruity" taste. Irritated on a Friday evening with this weak as piss Capt Morgan and Kracken I just wasted a trip to the store for.
Any good rums that don't break the bank ?

Yeah, I hate weak 80 proof rum like Bacardi. Won't touch it. This stuff at least clocks in at 90, not too expensive and tastes great...

Seriously, it’s pretty good

Mt. Gay Eclipse.

White star if you can find it.

Bacardi white label is a good mixer if you like a lighter taste

Mount Gay has a lot of different rum and it's good, some better than others. I did their tour and was pretty tipsy at the end. My wife was giving me her samples the whole time.

Personally I don't like rum but I have a buddy from Costa Rica who swears by Zacapa 23. It's all he drinks.

El Dorado 15 (a very, very close 2nd)

A cheaper El Dorado would probably be my selection for the OP, especially if the competition is Captain Morgan.
