Georgia Title - where is it?

call the lienholder first and see if they still have it. if they do you're good to go. If they don't have it, check with the state and see if it's in your name (vs. the lienholder) and if it's in your name then just apply for a new title. If it's still in the lienholders name then you'll have to get something from them saying you have paid off the lien and then you should be good to go. not a problem just a bit of extra legwork to get it sorted out.

Hapeville no longer exists, have to go to your courthouse

Yep. The office by the airport is closed

They have one on welcome all road but I think it's for dealers only
Or commercial trucks only
Or something
Anyhow you do not want to go there
Absolutely no where to park
Metal detectors and pat down to get in
Less than half the clerks of the old office
No where to sit And it will take the better part of a day just to get tothe window

They eliminated the one day office but now the titles processed at the county tag offices arrive in the mail in about a week instead of the 4-6 weeks they used to take

I sold a vehicle last year and went to the one day office
Took a number and waited about two hours before I realised that there were over 200 people in line ahead of me

I left and told the guy wanting to buy my vehicle he'd just have to wait for the title to come in the mail
