All of’em wanted Trump out. He was pulling the curtains back.

I don't think so. He helped polarize both sides. He was planned. His policies were mostly good but he served a role that led us here. Just like the ones before and after. There is no out for us. All the boxes are controlled.

I support the bill because it is the right thing to do. Not because that shill Kemp may or may not sign it. AFAIC that man needs to be in prison for allowing Raffensperger to let the Democrats steal the 2020 election AND the runoffs for Senator and not do one damned thing about it. I will not vote for him in his May 24 primary under any circumstance.

Just so we are clear. Since the Georgia constitution prohibits the governor from having any authority over or taking any action related to elections, you are upset that your elected official didn’t violate the constitution and force another elected official he has no authority over to do something about something he has no authority over. Basically he should go to prison for not violating the constitution for something you are in favor of.

This right here is why we are in a mess folks. Rule of law only matters when it’s convenient.

People don't understand the Federal Constitution, the State Constitution, different jurisdictions or the Separation of Powers...SMDH...

I don’t know what Trump has against Kemp since everything he has been saying is bull**** Kemp had no constitutional authority to even do, but he sure does hate him.

Really wish he would just enjoy retirement.

No, 81 million people didn’t vote for Joe Biden. 80% of those votes were against Trump just like 80% of Trumps votes when he beat Hillary went for Trump but rather against the Hildabeast.

Major downside to being so polarizing is a TON of people will turn out to vote against you.

I think Trump did a good job, but the man spews so much bull**** that he is his own worst enemy.

I was already planning on supporting Kemp since I think he has done a great job, and when he signs constitutional carry I will be that much happier with the job he has done.

Just so we are clear. You are telling me that he had NO influence over Raffensperger at any level telling him that signing a consent decree with the Democrats that Georgia wouldn't inspect signatures on mail-in ballots and compare them to registration certificates is a bad idea? Even as a, "you should really think about what you're doing?" And also that Kemp was powerless, even as the voice of the people to say that there was enough evidence of fraud in Fulton County and the other big city counties? Nope, the election was fair.....and we all just need to shut up. /s

CORRECTION: Apparently a rumor that I'd read but can find no backup for it now....."And finally, I'd like to know where that $10M that Kelly Loeffler offered up to the Georgia Republican Party before she was appointed to the Senate went, what were Kemp's campaign debts at the time?" DELETED. My bad.

You got people own here that don't understand a lot worse than that. There's one on here says he is going to vote for Stacy over Kemp cause he doesn't think Kemp helped Trump with the election fiasco. Little over 2 years ago these same people were up in arms about Trump banning bump stocks. I voted for Trump both times. I hope my next option is Ron D. All that being said. These people voting for Stacy over Kemp is like kicking your girl to the curb cause she has a spending problem and replacing her with a crack whore. Well at least you know all your shi is going to be missing when you get home from work..
how stupid can people be. And what the heck is wrong with the 13 people who vote no on Constitutional carry?

Yes. I am saying Kemp was completely constitutionally powerless with any regard to the election, Brad Raffesnperger’s actions, or the consent decree that so many seems to think does/did so much more than it actually did.

Please, tell me what you think the consent decree was and did?

More importantly, every single person in the state was powerless to do anything the moment the first ballot was cast. There’s that pesky Georgia election law again, sticking its nose is everyone’s business. That pesky law that states once an election is started (first ballot cast) NOTHING can legally be changed until after the last vote is counted. (Last vote of the last runoff).

If there was something unconstitutional, unfair, or flat out wrong about the way the election was going to be run, the legal time to challenge was before the election had begun (first ballot cast.). An experienced politician would have known this, or at least had election lawyers that could provide them with solid legal advice. Trump had a washed up prosecutor, and two ambulance chasers who knew nothing about election law or more importantly Georgia election law.

Kelly Loeffler and 10M doesn’t concern me since,

A. I have no idea what you are talking about
B. You have nothing supporting what you are talking about
C. I personally don’t care.

At this point Kemp had my enthusiastic vote. I’m am thankful I lived in Georgia with a sane governor during the pandemic rather than some other states that destroyed themselves. My family in New Mexico is still suffering under Covid restrictions imposed by their dictator..er governor. Kemp was right the whole time with regards to Covid and actually did follow the since.

So long as he doesn’t do something stupid like veto this bill, he’s my guy.

The other day, WSB radio (95.5 FM in Atlanta) had a news show with a brief interview with some Georgia political expert commentator / reporter / pundit / columnist. That person said that "constitutional carry" would pass this session, and Gov. Kemp WOULD sign it into law, but not because it was a good law, but only because they wanted to throw a bone to the right wing political base of the GOP, with an eye toward the upcoming elections. (It's not like their hearts are really in it.)

Yesterday the AJC newspaper (online) announced that constitutional carry DID pass, and that Kemp was expected to sign it. They quoted both critics and supporters of the bill, and the pro-gun, second-amendment group whose comments they chose to print were from Georgia Gun Owners, not GA2A. (Interesting, but I can't say it's unfair or misleading).

I think the freedom-hating socialists at AJC and WSB news are helping lay the foundation for a future Democrat-controlled Georgia General Assembly to REPEAL this law, by portraying it as a political stunt by a desperate party, the Republicans, who are losing power and need to pass a law that sane people would see as dangerous and extremist but their rabid GOP gun-loving base wanted.

Future Democrat politicians (and moderate, wishy-washy Republicans) will read the AJC's coverage of the "constitutional carry" legislation and come to the conclusion that this law doesn't really express the will of the people and doesn't deserve any respect, and should be cut out of our law books like a cancerous tumor.

Yep...you can bet the GA media will now portray every shooting a result of this bill.
