Not trying to make a point........ It is what it is . American's value what they value. To my knowledge , no one in this thread had a 7,8,9 year old child that got shot in the head or chest with a 5.56 round while they were at school.

I don't recall it having an LEO angle (though most do). Just recall how adamant many were about not using their firearms to protect any one but themselves.

I can't think of a more cowardly position to take than this right here. If you are carrying a concealed weapon in a active shooter situation then it's your moral obligation to save lives. To do anything less is inhumane! If it's nothing more than taking solid cover and directing the shooters attention on you so others have a chance to get clear of direct fire. I have a feeling the % of concealed carriers would turn tail and run. The reason I think it's so high? Well I was a scrapper in my youth which includes high school and I would fight at the drop of a dime. I have been in situations where I was outnumbered 3 to 1 and there would be 4 or 5 of my friend standing there white as a sheet scared out there wits watching me take on 3 guys. People talk a big game and fantasize about what they would do in a certain situation and might even train for it. However fantasizing and training and being right there when the sh*t gets deep they freeze and get buck fever. I have seen it a hundred times. I have even slapped friends for standing there looking stupid while I fight like a honey badger. People are genuine pus??es when the chips are down. Expecting people to insert their selves into danger is going a little far.

Now there are a lot of guys that are " take action type " guys that will step up to the pump and get the job done. Former military vets. that have seen action or just brave men who will do what needs to be done in the face of danger. What we saw in Texas was officers to comfortable with their jobs. They were being lax and didn't want to go any further than what they have been accustom to which is write tickets for traffic violations and serving divorce papers or subpoenas. It boils down to they were afraid of actually having to face what Chicago, Detroit and New York officers face on a daily basis. Regular Rosco P. Coltrane types.

Need to pass a law that sets up and pays for the funeral expenses for victims of school shootings. Take the money out of everyone's paycheck just like social security.

You want that at the State or Federal level? And would it extended to all the everday killings in Atl, Chicago, New Oleans, Houston etc? Surely those should be covered as they are all a product of muh rghts and the 2A.

I have no answers and no child that died in a school shooting. WE can't outlaw anything. The Senate , Congress and President have to do that and WE all know that is not going to happen. WE also know the 2A is not going anywhere. What is the point you are trying to make ?

The thing I really do not understand, just 18 months ago, these people that currently want to ban semi-auto rifles wanted to defund the police and said the police are killing black and brown people left and right. Fast forward to now, those same people literally want to legislate that the police are the only people allowed to have AR-15s. WTF?!
