Who played in the Sugar Bowl, who didn’t,
Who’ll declare for the draft, who won’t ,
This years edition of the Dawgs beat the pee out of Georgia Tech and will end up ranked ahead of Alabama.

Millions of dollars at stake for them. Dramatically different future for their families.

It's a lot to risk in a meaningless game where you don't get paid.
They are on scholarship, therefore employed by the team. They should be team members and do their part. All that other stuff is pure SNOWFLAKE, meaningless
rhetoric.

My thoughts... any year that you beat Auburn and Florida the same year is a good year. Beat Notre Dame, UT, killed Tech, I’m kinda glad the expectations are so high that a 2 loss season is a failure. My thoughts are that Georgia needs to recruit in the state better, that being said nobody works harder recruiting than Coach Smart. Real Georgia fans know better than compare this coach to his predecessor.... How many times did Coach Richt teams beat UF, Auburn and Tennessee in the same season?

Really? A football game with a meaningless trophy at stake is more important than potential lifetime financial security for one's family? Strange set of values, but okay.

And a scholarship = employment? Given the number of hours these kids put in, it's in the ballpark of minimum wage work, if viewed as a barter. And UGA football scholarships probably amount to less than 1% of the value the program brings the school each year. The school reaps enormous profit from the athletes, and that's just pure dollars. The marketing cachet is even larger.

Sports figures have risen to much to elevated a level. They are overpaid and over worshipped. Most will make a ton of money and not invest for when their careers are over. Some will wind up in prison

It's a marketplace. The compensation is driven largely by demand.
