I say get Nate at Ft. Daniel to cut and thread it and permanently attach a new flash hider of your choice.

I have a Ruger SR556 and while trying to remove the flash hider I damaged the barrel, my questiong is, can I have a gunsmith cut off the damage and re thread the barrel >? please help

Inquiring minds want to know - what did you stick into the end of that barrel before lighting a round off?
I can't imagine anything other than a round having the strength to do that to the barrel.
