Some people appreciate a heads up on supply chain disruptions, some just ignore the warnings and we wonder what happened.

If you were ever a meat producer, you would know there are very few meat packers still operating in this country, and the ones left are huge. When one shuts down under today's conditions, the impact can be significant.

Is it, though? I've spent the last three days on the road and almost all I've seen on the interstate are big rigs. Loads of them.

Farms and other producers that supply restaurants can't sell their food and are trashing produce in huge quantities. That's why the chicken processer on another thread and high end restaurant suppliers like Buckhead Beef are now starting to sell to the public.
