I use Hillshire Farms Kielbasa or smoked sausage a little thicker and grabs LCB spices really well.
They had plenty at the mothership in Evergreen last Saturday. They've built a new gift shop out in front of the factory and the coolers were stacked full. No deals though, even by the case the price was a little over $4 a lb.
I just tried this sausage out of Florence, MS. Country Pleasin Brand...it is the *bomb*! Won't be going back to Conecuh anytime soon. Found this at Kroger, not sure if they carry the plain version or not.
