Collards

Mine had wilted (the collards, you sickos).
stripped the leaves off the stems, soaked them in a pot if cold salted water a couple hours, they bounced right back.
Had started a pot with a couple cups of water, teaspoon of salt and sugar, and some streak-o-lean simmering earlier. Threw the drained collards in, covered, cooked for about 30 minutes. Turned out great.
 
I picked turnip greens and a turnip fromone of my food plots yesterday.

They were good , not great but good.

Its been years since I have cooked fresh greens
