Excellent info... It has been a while since I've been down, I was sick of shouldering over 7 so-so rifles. I had a solid SG October, 1941 Springfield that I ordered a while back come in February, so I've made due with it until now.

CMP is selling Service grade M1 Garands

Based on the scuttlebutt on the CMP Forums, the inventory is winding down.
They will be moving the South Store Operation to the much smaller (1/3 the size) Air Rifle building in September some time.
They had a tent sale.
They sold out of the spam cans with Enblocs.
If people don't buy now they will only have themselves to blame.
The last hurrah, so to speak. They've warned that mid 2017 could be the last of the Garands in any numbers.
Yep, I heard about the move. I seriously doubt there will ever be any serious amount of "stock" provided to them after this.
