Help me understand why some members require a bill of sale for the purchase of their firearms when in the state of Georgia it’s not a requirement. For me I won’t give my personal information to a stranger ( license number, address, CCP, phone number etc… it’s like asking for someone to break into my residence or even worse be scammed some way. I choose to keep scrolling when I see that in a ad what’s your opinion?

Because they want what they want.

Because they think they need to be able to protect themselves in case the po-po turn up thinking they were the guy who dropped a gat at the quicky-mart during that robbery in the 'hood last week, when it was actually you.

I can see the attraction in being able to say "I sold it to a guy who I talk to online. he said he was a GA resident, was over 18 and said he was eligble to possess a firearm', and backing it up by saying 'He showed me his drivers license. It was issued and current in GA. No, I don't remember his name. it was a cash sale".

You don't even need to do that much, but I can understand the impulse.

Bill of Sale? Nah. I ain't signing nothin'.
