I really like that thing... and I have to admit that I've played with it more than actually using it. I need a beat up one that will really get used for hard labor.

I keep a Reeve Pacific in my go bag.
It's S35VN, it's hard and corrosion resistant and it's thick enough that it makes just as good a pry bar as it does a knife.
or in a pinch you can smash it with another log or rock and use it to split wood.

Never heard of Reeve knife. Just looked them up, that thing is really nice.

Gerber ASEK or BMF infantry knife. They are the same thing as far as I can tell besides color and sheath.
